COVID-19 - Impact on Most Vulnerable Households in Jordan
The report COVID-19 - Impact on Most Vulnerable Households in Jordan, a joint undertaking of UNDP Jordan and Tkiyet Um Ali, is part of a series of rapid impact assessments that shed light on the significant impact the pandemic has had on households across Jordan. The first round of the assessment, conducted during the nationwide lockdown in April 2020, highlighted the significant impact of the crisis on human development with communities and people already lagging behind particularly affected. At the time more than 85% of the most vulnerable households reported to have faced difficulties in meeting even basic needs like food and rent. Findings from the second round show that many households continue to face significant challenges and remain pessimistic about the future. The assessment included a telephone survey of 1,600 Jordanian and Palestinian refugee households across all governorates.
